Drakelow Unearthed
Extras
When compiling the revised edition of Drakelow
Unearthed many of the restrictions from the original version were removed
so I was able to include more images. Unfortunately some items still
had to be omitted, for example because they were out of context, some
ideas that didn't actually work, or because the point I wanted to illustrate
was already covered. I wanted to take advantage of these pages to allow
you to see some of these items. I will also be able to add any new info
that comes to light. Click on the links for more.

A correction. Well it is the only one since Drakelow Unearthed
was first published in 1996!
21st January 2008. I have today found an article in the Kidderminster
Times of 20th September 1941 that relates to the incident resulting
in the death of Mrs Mary Ann Brettell. According to Les Grice
- and consequently recorded in Drakelow Unearthed, Mrs Brettell
was killed accidentally by Frank McCaib when she was struck by
the dumper truck he was driving. According to the Kidderminster
Times however, the driver of the dumper was John Plunket Rushe
aged 51 from Kidderminster, being an employeee of John Cochrane's.
The other details agree with Les Grice's story. I hope to be able
to reproduce the full article in the near future. This has been
corrected in the e-book version.
